In Remembrance of Monica Vazquez

Monica Vazquez

Many of you already know, Monica Vazquez passed this last Saturday. She was loved by many, none greater than her two boys John and Carlos. They will miss her immensely! Please keep them in your prayers.
Many in the Scouting community close to Monica, including some of our own from WBCXII, have worked hard these last few weeks to ease Monica's greatest concerns and put her affairs in order. I know she was happy and comforted with those efforts; and in the end, she was at peace.  Our time here is measured, for each of us it will run out someday. How we use that time changes those that remain and leaves a ripple for days, years, generations, or centuries. Monica's ripple will not soon fade; she left us all better than before. It was with true joy and amazement that I observed a small piece of her spirit, still thriving and beautiful even in the difficult circumstances, these last few weeks. Thank you Monica for giving so many gifts to those you've left behind, including the many Gifts of Leadership to the Scouts in Troop 435 and Northern Trail District.  The family has set up a GoFundMe page to help with funeral and related expenses, https://www.gofundme.com/274w6ws
